This lovely ham I always consider a feast around Christmas. We drip and drip the meat in the oven basting it with the sweet liquid of the pineapple until it becomes the best gravy ever. Nobody seems to like the pineapple and maraschino cherries but me.
I overdid the shadow contrast at the bottom a bit, but I think that’s because the fountain pen I used has a more limited application when it comes to cross-hatching. It is great for ad-hoc urban sketching but precise control over shading is not it’s thing.
Also, I can’t wait for the waterproof ink, to apply watercolor on top of it.
