I finally am happy with the way the colors turn out. I just make them bleed, and try to just go along with the way the water flows. By not wetting the paper first, the colors stay pure. There is one error in the light source in this Study Saturday lighthouse, but I am not minding that much at the moment. The important part was getting the colors right and vibrant, now to get them right.
This was done with the Sakura Koi watercolor kit. It is amazing how little pigment is needed to get a vibrant effect. I made the inked lines playful for some urban effect and used the dip pen. It feels so nice to finally master this, that I cannot wait to draw again, it’s intoxicating!
