415. Spaghetti tree

While I was contemplating if I should draw a spaghetti Zentangle, or the flying spaghetti monster, my wife pointed me to a campfire song. I started drawing a tree, which turned into a spaghetti tree, based upon the rhyme below.

On top of spaghetti
All covered with cheese I lost my poor meatball
When somebody sneezed.

It rolled off the table
And onto the floor
And then my poor meatball rolled out of the door.

It rolled in the garden
And under a bush
And then my poor meatball
Was nothing but mush.

The mush was as tasty
As tasty could be
And early next summer
It grew into a tree.

The tree was all covered with cheese
I lost my poor meatball covered with beautiful moss

It grew great big meatballs
And tomato sauce.

So if you eat spaghetti
All covered with cheese

Hold on to to your meatballs
And don’t ever sneeze.

You can find the complete rhyme and history here.

Once again this drawing matured in my moleskin. The yellow look kind of worked in it’s favor as it gives a dated look, like a children’s illustration. But, when I finalize my next drawing I will the end result more thought. If it needs to be watercolor I prefer that medium just because it is more forgiving and makes the colors not look so dull.
