Study Saturday. This time we were supposed to sketch an abandoned car in the woods. Unfortunately, I did not have much time, and the time I had, I was not doing the greatest health-wise. There is a bug going around and it jumped from my daughter to us.
So, in that time I did a sketch and I learned a couple of things. When you’re sick, fine details are a pain. I am usually inpatient drawing foliage and trees, and this was very prominent in the reference picture.
I do like jumping into details of a drawing, but I need to be in the right frame of mind, and this drawing definitely did not come to it’s right.
Here is the sketch that I scanned before I ‘butchered’ it with ink 🙂
And here is the first failed attempt where I did not look correctly at the perspective. It is a study, so everything goes!
It looks like a surprised breadbox 😉
