This picture reminds me of the time I drew recipes. My daughter had an assignment where she had to explain the recipe to me, and I had to draw what she said. That would show her that she was either very clear or unclear in what she wanted me to do. It was a fun homework assignment as I rarely get to draw helping her with her homework.
This drawing is once again scanned, and digitized. Some people might see it as a luxury problem others might see it as absolute lack of time. My morning routine contains too many things and too little time to do them in.
- I wake up at 5:30 am (yes, early)
- I make coffee
- I browse Instagram, Twitter, etc for about 10 minutes
- I meditate at 6 am for 10 minutes
- I draw for 45 minutes
- My daughter has to be woken up at 7 am
Somehow I cannot do it all consistently, which gives me more stress in the morning than I should have (I don’t think meditation and drawing was meant for that).
I think I will try to skip social media in the morning, which is hard because it has been such an intrinsic part of my routine. But as all productivity guru’s say, it’s best to rise early and get out of bed right away 😉
Here is the sketch of the original drawing from my sketchbook, which I prepared last night. As you can see I did reorder the picture a bit. It is also clear that the “Scan Sketch” feature does leave artifacts in the picture above.
