355. Draw a bridge

I was looking for abandoned and broken bridges. Rope bridges, rusty bridges, you name it. It is always interesting to see what nature does to old and weathered structures. And I came across this particular bridge. It is in Georgia on the road going towards Armenia.

This is the first time I actually tried to use a one point perspective, as I noticed perception and actual perspective are sometimes right but can lead to a lot of frustration when it’s totally wrong. It can have its charm while urban sketching but with small details on a large drawing you do want it to make sense.

I was also unsure if the watercolor would pan out, and made sure I snapped a black and white picture before I continued.

I had a lot of fun doing this one.
