332. Radar Tower

I set my timer to 30 minutes for the sketch and ink, and about 12 minutes for the watercolor. I didn’t want to lose track of time and stand all stressful next to my daughter’s bed trying to wake her up. I have noticed a correlation between the more she needs to get up (because we are running late), the less she wants to get up. This time went a bit more peaceful.

This is not a big effort, I did a pre-sketch yesterday, and liked the ‘soccerball radar’ the most.

I still have to work some in incorporating the scenery as a whole but if the picture already shows a desolate area, I can paint one happy tree, but it will just look silly.

The model of this radar is a NEXRAD WSR-88D.
