I have a weakness for drawing construction vehicles, or machinery related to it. This little cute car, modified to shovel was one on my ‘to draw’ list which I diligently keep in Evernote.
Tires are always difficult for me to draw, but the more practice, the better. I also found more peace by sketching a concept in the evening (20 min), inking it in the morning (15-20 min) and painting it in the last 15 minutes before I need to wake up my daughter.

What I like about reference sketching is that I feel it becomes more and more easy, which fuels my confidence that I can urban sketch this, if I would be on the physical location of this awesome monstrosity. Although I have no idea where that would be…
