26 Inktober 2018 – Stretch

There is a mild fascination brewing. I don’t know why I would occasionally draw men having middle-age bodies. Maybe it is my artistic self having a mid-life crisis?
My age is showing, as this is also an example of a childhood’s toy that was really about nothing but stretching the life out of a latex rubber man, filled with very concentrated corn syrup.
I have to yet see them in the toy stores today, as Stretch Armstrong was announced to return to the market in it’s original form in 2016.
Well, if this is the stretch we are talking about, he’s showing his age and might have lost his appeal to the younger audience. I see now why some woman say that there is nothing appealing to middle age man wearing a Speedo.
