Ok here we go! This is it (taking a deep breath). Here are all the tools I can use for this month.
I tossed my Wacom Intious on a shelf, and this will be my medium. The brown sketchbook is watercolor proof, and hopefully the paper won’t warp so much as it did in my moleskine. I played with my Sakura Koi brush set for a while just to get the feeling of it, but I am the biggest sense of the word, a n00b when it comes to combining these techniques.
It has been almost a decade and a half since I really drawn with pen & pencil. I picked up the Wacom tablet at the beginning of this year, which was more due to time constraints and ease of use, but I surely lost touch with pen and paper.
I solemnly pledge to live up to the rules of Inktober 2018, with the added promise to myself that I will use watercolor for a whole month, to get a good connection for my future urban sketching projects.
- Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
- Post it*
- Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2018
… and day one is done!
